Please read carefully before purchasing live butterflies from Cloverlawn Butterflies.
Proper Butterfly Environment
You, as the client, agree that any and all live insects purchased from Cloverlawn Butterflies will be released outdoors in an environment that is at least 65 degrees or warmer out, and it also needs to be during daylight hours, with blooming flowers in the area so that the butterflies can nectar once released. Butterflies need time to hide from predators and go to sleep when it is dark outside.
Correct Shipping Information
You, the client, are responsible for providing the correct shipping information. We are not liable for wrong shipping instructions or addresses. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO SHIP BUTTERFLIES TO CONNECTICUT OR WASHINGTON STATE.
Shipping
We ship all live insects via FedEx priority overnight to arrive the day before your event, unless your release is on a Monday or Tuesday. Packages for Monday releases arrive on Saturday, and Packages for Tuesday releases arrive on Tuesday. If your event is on Tuesday, you agree that your package may be delayed and that Cloverlawn Butterflies is not liable for any such delay.
You will get your tracking information at the email address that you provide for us when placing your order. This email will come from FedEx. Most clients receive their tracking information 2 days before the package is shipped out, along with the estimated delivery time. FedEx estimates all priority packages to be delivered between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm. We will not know your estimated delivery time until we enter your address into their system. This may be different for clients with last-minute orders. If you do not receive your tracking number from FedEx at least two days prior to your release date, then it is your responsibility to call or email us for your tracking info. There is the possibility that FedEx’s automated email will go to your spam folder. You, the client, are responsible for being available to accept your package. We are not responsible for stolen packages or packages left outside. Once the package of butterflies is scanned in by FedEx, it is then your responsibility, it is your responsibility to track your package, and it is also your responsibility to contact FedEx. We are not liable for any unexpected shipping delays, which include any delays that are out of our control. (weather delays, maintenance delays, any acts of God). Once FedEx gains possession of your package, it becomes your responsibility; you are liable for what happens next. We do not offer any refunds after that point. FedEx customer service number is 1-800-GO-FedEx.
Butterfly Information
When you checkout, you will be directed to your confirmation page. This page has your confirmation number. You will also receive an email with your order confirmation; it may go to your spam folder. Please check that folder before you call to request it. The care instructions for the butterflies start on the outside of each package. You, the client, are responsible for keeping the butterflies nice and cool until an hour before releasing them. Detailed release instructions are included in each package. In the highly unlikely event that your butterflies are not alive, we ask that you provide us with pictures and a phone call within 24 hours of your release. We ship thousands of butterflies a week and have only had 2 instances with a problem of the butterflies not making it. We only ship fresh hatchlings that are fed, exercised, and disease-free to be released back into the environment.
Last Minute Orders
ALL LAST-MINUTE ORDERS need to be in by no later than 3 pm Eastern time the day before the release date. Please check with our office before ordering, as we sell out quickly. We love last-minute orders as long as we have the butterflies available and are able to ship out on time. If you are ordering butterflies on our website within 1 week of your event, then you MUST email us at sales@cloverlawnbutterflies.com or call our office at 407.896.8389 to verify that we have the butterflies available. If you proceed with your order, we will not be held liable for canceling it and disrupting your event. Also, if we do verify availability, but you wait to place your order, then there is the possibility that we can sell out in the meantime. We will email you immediately if we sell out. It is your responsibility to check your emails. We will also not be held responsible for the amount of time it takes for a refund to go through; this timeframe is about 2 days. Please do check with us well in advance and make sure the butterflies are available for the date you need them for. We sell out quickly. We do not take last-minute orders over the phone. Due to FedEx being closed on Sundays, we cannot ship butterflies out on the weekends for Monday delivery.
