Here at Cloverlawn Butterflies, we go by a strict code of ethics. We ask each of our clients to follow these guidelines:
- We ship live insects only for outdoor release. As we know, this is the butterflies’ natural environment.
- Please release butterflies during the day. This is when they fly. They need time at sunset to go roost and hide from predators. We do not recommend sunset releases.
- Before placing your order, please consider the environment. It needs to be at least 65 degrees and sunny out with blooming flowers in the area for the butterflies.
Important Info Regarding Shipping:
Is your butterfly release event on a Monday or Tuesday?
- If your butterfly release event is on a Monday, you will get your butterflies on the Saturday before. FedEx (our shipper) is closed on Sunday, and we have no other way to get you your butterflies on Sunday.
- If your butterfly release event is on Tuesday, you will receive your butterflies on the event date. FedEx (our shipper) is closed on Sunday; it goes against our code of ethics to let the butterflies sit in a hot warehouse over the weekend.
- We will ship your butterflies for release on Monday, and you will get them on Tuesday by 10:30 am, as long as that is the estimated delivery time by FedEx
We are an ethical butterfly farm in Florida. We’re part of the International Butterfly Breeders Association and raise butterflies in superb conditions with plenty of love and happiness.
